Steve Hickey, Senior Pastor Pastor Steve and family moved to Sioux Falls in 1994 with the idea of starting an aggressive church-planting church. Out of that vision and call has come Church at the Gate with its various ministries and daughter churches. His vision is to facilitate a regional church-planting movement seeing lots and lots of local life-giving churches pop up all over our city and beyond — a vision reflected in his doctoral program. Most recently he authored Obtainable Destiny based on 1, 2 Timothy & Titus (Creation House Press, 2004). Pastor Steve also serves as the SD State Coordinator for the United States Strategic Prayer Network. He and Kristen have three children — Caleb is in college, and Thomas and Kaitlyn attend Roosevelt High School. family photo blog |

Dennis White, Associate Pastor Dennis serves Church at the Gate in various areas. He heads up Pastoral Care to the growing congregation by visiting those in the hospital, making home visits and doing pre-marital/marriage counseling. Dennis serves in an administrative capacity, assisting Pastor Steve and Sheryl Horan in the Office. He is one of the teaching pastors on staff, giving particular attention to Cleansing Stream and Cleansing Discipleship, a training program of Deliverance Ministry. Dennis enjoys spending time with his five children and eleven grandchildren, golfing, and in free time, antiques. His son Lance, daughter-in-law Sarah, and their three children (Eden, Corbyn, and Donovan) attend Church at the Gate. |

Jared Dupert, Youth/Young Adult Pastor Jared comes to Sioux Falls from south central Pennsylvania. He has a beautiful wife, Ashley, and three little girls, Riley, Peyton, and Braylin. Jared has a heart to see youth and young adults living a life of change and transformation. He believes that this generation has the ability to be the new, not the tomorrow. Jared enjoys spending time with his family, hunting (especially pheasants), skiing, and relaxing. |

Kathy Ferguson, Worship Ministries Director Kathy plans and leads worship for all services and is the director of Adult and children's choirs. She also oversees all others areas of worship, including drama and technical production. She loves seeing people get involved in the church using their God-given gifts through service by creating an atmosphere, which allows all to experience worship with our Creator. Kathy is married to Bret, and they have four children, Dustin, Trevor, Graham, and Ashton. She loves spending time with her family, loves to bake, and enjoys all kinds of music. Madeline Porter, Children's Pastor Madeline, Larry, and their two sons, Randall and Spencer, have been a part of our church since 2007. Originally from Singapore, Madeline has been active in children's ministry since 1982, and was the Children's Pastor at Brookings First Assembly in Brookings, SD prior to moving to Sioux Falls in 2007. Larry runs LifeGate Christian Counseling at Church At The Gate, providing counseling for individuals, couples, and families founded in a Christian value system. Visit the Children's Ministry page |

Kristen Hickey, Prayer Coordinator Helping Church at the Gate to continue to become a Spirit-led, worship-fed house of prayer is Kristen's heart's desire. "Prayer is a big part of the life of this church. We believe that prayer can change lives, so we want to motivate and encourage people to learn to pray and see God's hand in their answered prayers." Kristen's responsibilities include mobilizing prayer groups, teaching, and helping prayerful people and leadership to find resources that will motivate and encourage prayer in every aspect of church life. Bonita Juillard, Accounting Bonita started working at CATG in Sept of 2009, in the accounting department. Bonita was born and raised in Winner, SD, living there until 2000 when she moved to Sioux Falls. Bonita’s father is a Pastor of two Churches in the Winner area. First Christian Church – Disciples of Christ – Winner, SD and Ideal Presbyterian Church – Ideal, SD. Bonita married Joel Juillard on May 4, 2003; together they have a combined family of 6 daughters. As of Sept 2009 they have a total of 20 grandchildren. Joel and Bonita attend the Last Call Service. I am truly blessed to be a part of CATG. |
