More Jesus - 2024 Bible Reading Plan
As we get ready for a new year, that means a new Bible reading plan we can do together! In 2024, we will be doing the “More Jesus” plan, which will take us through the whole Bible once, with two trips through the gospels and Romans to keep Jesus at the forefront of our reading. The plan also includes devotional questions you can use and the comment section where we can share what the Lord highlights to each of us. There’s some great book introduction videos as well, to give you a snapshot of each book. While we can’t get more of Jesus inside us than we already have, we can get to know him and experience Him more in our lives.

Second Fridays with Quincy Good Star Ministries

Worship and Wait
This January 2024, we will be gathering at 6pm every Wednesday Night at The Gate to Worship and Wait. This contemplative and glorifying time will be set aside as another opportunity to seek God’s truth as a family. Harp and Bowl style worship will be the model of Worship and Wait. We are pumped!
21 Days of Prayer and Fasting
Its a new year again, so that means seeking God for fresh perspective and revelation. One of the ways we walk in stillness before God is joining the Global Foursquare Church for their annual 21 days of Prayer and Fasting! Some of the most powerful testimonies come out of this time and we are eager to walk in greater revelation of who God is and who He says we are!

Christmas Concert with Brent Parker
Tis the season and we are excited!
On Friday December 8th, at 6:30, Pastor Brent Parker will be having his annual Christmas Concert! This will be an intimate evening with him and his piano playing all of our favorite Christmas Classics.
This concert is a lot of fun, but also is a fundraiser. This year, the fundraising focus is towards a mission to Greece and Albania.
Come out for fun and fundraising with this special seasonal celebration!

A Women's Day Retreat!
November 4th from 9-3 we are going to gather at The Gate for a time of warm Fellowship with other women.
We will have a light breakfast available before 9:00. Come early and visit over a cup of coffee.
We will also have lunch around 11:30.
At 9:00 and after lunch, Naomi Dappen is going to bless us with a time of worship. She has just recently gone to Nashville and recorded some of her own songs.
They are very anointed! Naomi is one of Sioux Falls finest worship leaders.

Norelle Lutke will be our speaker for the day. Norelle comes to us from Wichita, Kansas. She has served as the Assistant Director of Holy Spirit Renewal Ministries since 2015. She served on the Executive Committee as Vice Chairman for many years.She coordinates the Holy Spirit Conference in Green Lake each summer.Her passion is to facilitate others in experiencing the reality and power of the Holy Spirit to live spiritually dynamic lives in Jesus Christ.

Are you wondering how to distinguish God's voice from your own? If so, or just curious, we have the event for you! Come join us at The Gate for a workshop presented by Michelle Onuorah with the Center for Prophetic Listening on Saturday October 14th at 9am!
Books and a meal are provided at a cost of $50 to cover the entire workshop. This time is sure to be a revealing and genuine time of teaching, learning, and listening.

Yea, you read that right and it's not just your hopes speaking, its true; the Burns are coming back to Sioux Falls! What a blessing it was to have this amazing family last year during Pentecost Weekend!

Hey Gate LadiesI
Its time for our annual Women's Spring Retreat! We are headed back to beautiful Swan Lake, where God met us last year! He looks forward to meeting each of you again this year! Dates are May 5-7, 2023.
We have some wonderful things planned for this year's weekend.
Our speaker this year is Susie Wingler, founder of Direct Line Prayer Center. Susie and her husband Gerry are life long residents of Sioux Falls and have two daughters, Stacy and Jennifer.
Susie is actively engaged in the prayer life of Sioux Falls and the Community. Through the power of The Holy Spirit, her life was changed in 2006. Susie's passion is to share testimonies of God's miraculous healing, restoring, and redemptive power. Additionally, her daughter, Jennifer will be sharing about God's miraculous work in her life.
Come anticipating God to move among us as we are encouraged and inspired by "His Story."
To lead us into God's Presence, Elizabeth Enalls will be our worship leader for the weekend. She is no stranger to The Gate and is a much sought after leader in Sioux Falls. We are blessed to have her join us!
The Worship will start at 7:00, but feel free to come and settle in any time after 4:00. Dinner will not be served Friday night but there is a cafe in Viborg and we will have some nutritious items on our snack table. Bring something to share if you like.
Swan Lake will serve 3 meals on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday.
The cost of the Retreat will be the same as last year....$150.00.
As a part of the fun, we are asking each lady to bring a baby photo or portrait of themselves. Don't show anyone!! It would be helpful if you could put your name on the back and put it in a Manila envelope so only Teri sees it. It will be fun! If you could get it to us a week or two before the retreat that would be wonderful! You will get your photo back.
Also, we are having a book exchange. Bring one or two (no more) books for our table....bring a book...take a book. Bring two books...take two books. A fun way to get some new reading material!
God is going to meet us there. You can fellowship or get away on your own. A time to unwind and reconnect ....with friends...with God!

Sunday February 19th, Women at The Gate will be having a BAKE SALE! Bring your best bakes, as ALL bakers are welcome to sell their goodies at the event! Proceeds to go Women's ministry future events! Bring your bakes or come ready to buy some treats and support a great cause!
Registration is for a head count of bakers so be sure to sign up if you want to sell your baked goods!
